LEARN TO TOUCH TYPE
IN 10 HOURS
Typing is now widely recognized as an essential tool for using the computer whether for business documentation, letters, university essays, school projects, homework, or the internet. Some students may need this skill in order to use a laptop/computer at work and home, in class and exams or because they have been diagnosed with dyslexia, dyspraxia, poor handwriting, etc.
Over the last twenty years hundreds of pupils from a variety of schools in North London, The Hampstead Dyslexia Clinic, The Hampstead Garden Suburb Institute, The Hampstead Business Centre Limited and University College School (where it has been compulsory for every Year 7 pupil at to attend a Touch Typing Course in the school holidays taught by Gaye Ruse) have successfully learnt to touch type using the unique methods of Ruse Typing.
Students will be taken through each letter on a computer keyboard with a series of exercises. At the end of the course students will be able to type accurately without looking at the keyboard or screen but home practice is essential to consolidate on accuracy and to build up speed.
